Hello!

Hello fellow beauty fanatics!

I've been following hair and makeup blogs for years, stalking Sephora's website compulsively for new releases, engaging in some unfortunate spending habits to feed my addiction - and now,  it seems about time to do something with this random beauty knowledge rattling around in my head.

I'll be posting product reviews, showing some full looks on myself and willing family members/friends, and throwing in a few lifestyle posts when something interesting pops up.

A little background info about me:

- I'm 27, a native Austinite with a career in advertising, and a proud momma to a gorgeous Labrador pup named Max (whose pictures you might also see frequently, as they take up about 95% of my camera roll).

- I live in the South Lamar area of Austin, just close enough to Zilker Park to walk to on gorgeous days. Most of my time is spent reading books and blogs, going to happy hour (best invention ever), and having adventures with my boyfriend and pup. Also, as mentioned previously, seeking out new beauty products obsessively. Ahem.

This kind of beauty comes naturally

Beauty profile:

Dry as the Sahara/sensitive skin, with the hardest time finding matching foundations; many posts will likely be devoted to my never-ending quest. (I THINK I may have just found the one, when paired with a gorgeous new primer. First post perhaps?) Fine, long hair, currently practicing curling it without extensive burning. Branching out into wearing bright lipsticks, and man is it exciting.

You know the old adage that says it's easier to do than to teach? When it comes to beauty, I feel like it's the reverse for me - I can wax poetic enthusiastically for an hour about the pros and cons of certain shades for someone else, but when it comes to performing a technique on myself, sometimes I'm lost. I'll be trying out many new things, so prepare to be entertained . . .

If you have any questions, requests, or tips from your personal experience you'd like to share, please feel free to reach out! Looking forward to this exciting new ride!
